Microsoft Sponsors Seattle Soccer Team

It has been announced that the Seattle Sounders FC will be primarily sponsored by the Microsoft. They will use their XBox 360 logo to brand the jerseys.

This deal is estimated at $20 Million for 5 years. 10 of the 15 MLS teams have corporate sponsors on the front of their jerseys.

I think it's great that Microsoft is sponsoring the newly founded professional soccer team in Seattle...I'm just thinking they could've done a bit more of a tasteful job with the jersey's.

Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, & Piperlime Synergize

Well if you didn't already know, Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, & Piperlime are all part of the same company. This week they introduced a singular check out process!

So now, you can shop their four stores (online), and have one shopping cart! This is great when you are talking about having a shipping & handling fee, because you can consolidate your orders and only have to pay S&H once!

Also to note is that the four stores on top nav bar, promoting synergy within the brands! I love this...the Gap brands really have it figured out. I bet it was one hell of a "b*tch" technologically to get this to work...but they made it happen. Congratulations to the group whose idea it was, along with the group that made it come to life.

American Airlines to Charge $15 & $25 a bag

American Airlines announced today that they would charge $15 a bag starting June 15th. This is in addition to the announcement they have made in the past, to charge $25 for a second bag.

Will the other airlines follow? They Can only charge for so many things, and cut out so many benefits. What will be next, charging for the bathroom?

CNN is a joke

Somebody at CNN thought they had a genius idea...Selling T-shirts with their headlines on them. How useless, and hurtful to their brand. It almost says to me, that they are trying to make money on their headlines, and therefore make them more interesting than they really are.

At least Britney Spears isn't on the front page everyday anymore.

Nintendo knows how to launch a product!

A lot of companies have great products, but do a lack luster job of launching them.

Nintendo's newest game Wii Fit, had their launch party at Central Park today, two days before it's release, allowing people to play the game alongside celebrity trainers.

Sometimes you'll see companies scramble to get products out the door last minute, and then they forget to market them, or convey to the customer what offer. Common people...this is the most important part! Congratulations to Nintendo on their launch, and a innovative product with the Wii's newest fitness video game, that will revolutionizing the industry!

Speaking of Nintendo Wii, in one year less than it's competitors (Microsoft's XBox 360 and Playstation 3) the Wii, is just short of being even with it's competitors. By this time next year, you can be assured that Nintendo Wii take over the lead spot in video gaming.

Great Product Idea's

Worried that you are getting your meats, fruits, and veggies mixed up on the same chopping board? This product (cutting board), which is available from MoMA store ( my favorite mail order/e-commerce catalog) has something that is like file folder tabs, but for cutting boards is available for $85.

Maybe this product isn't for you, but check the site out, there are many of other things that are pretty great!

Old School Gas Pumps Can't charge over $4

When gas pumps were put in years ago, the stations couldn't imagine the day would come where we would be paying more than $4 a gallon for gas, so the pumps were not set up for this.

In a Seattle PI article, they go into depth about how the maximum they can charge is $3.99 a gallon for gas. It would cost them thousands of dollars to upgrade the pumps or get new ones.

Interesting article:
