ABC + Olympics = Better Coverage
If you're like me and like to watch the Olympics, you have avoided the news all day for the past two weeks, just so you can Olympic coverage on NBC without knowing what will happen when viewing. On many of the days, I accidentally viewed a Website or overheard a conversation about who the winners were. In addition, the broadcast goes until 12:30am, when it's already a delayed broadcast.
NBC has a large opportunity for making more of the events live in general, and especially for those who live on the west coast. For example...this year's Olympics hosted one biggest events of all time, Michael Phelps' eight gold medal swim. Here in the West Coast it was a delayed broadcast on a Saturday, yet still claimed it was, "live". What is the excuse for this?
Rival company ABC has stated that they are going to bid for the next available Olympic games telecasts for the 2014 & 2016 games. ABC commented on NBC's practices by saying, "We would never put an event on tape delay. When we put 'live' on the screen, we mean 'live right now.' We don't mean live three hours ago."
NBC primarily tape delayed these events to gain higher ratings at more premium times. What NBC executives don't understand is with all the different forms of media that are available to viewers now...many people might not tune in to view the event at all anymore if they already know the outcome.

Kinko's RIP
FedEx acquired Kinko’s back in 2004, and then changed the name of Kinko’s to “FedEx Kinko’s” and in addition changed their logo to a multicolor icon.
Now four years later in 2008, the name of these stores will change once again, and drop the Kinko’s name altogether. The new name: FedEx Office.
It actually sounds pretty good, but Kinko’s has too much brand equity to walk away from. Did I mention it will cost FedEx $891 million to go about the name change?

Great Victoria, BC Hotel - The Oswego Hotel
If you live in the Pacific Northwest, or are just traveling there take a Vacation to The Oswego Hotel. It's everything you want in a hotel. Private, sleek, and modern in design! Every room is accommodated with a kitchen with stovetops and refrigerator.
The hotel has a great restaurant and bar located at the lobby. Most reservations include free extensive continental breakfast, and during my stay I was able to enjoy a free wine tasting the hotel was hosting!

NikeID has more shirts to customize!
NikeID has for many years now been leading the shoes industry in customization. Within the last couple of years Nike has added a couple of pieces of gear, as well as tee shirts. There hasn't been a large variety of clothing until now.
They recently have introduced a handful of new styles! Hopefully this is just the start with more to come soon.
