Subway Testing Ording Online & Via Text Message

If you live in New York City, you have a chance right now to test out Subway Now, which is an online system that allows you to order online, or via text message. If you plug in anything but a New York City address or zip code the system mentions that this is only a pilot program, but it'd be great if they rolled this out nationally.

Great to see restaurant/fast food companies innovating. I'd like to see an iPhone application from Subway; I think they could greatly benefit from it.

Polaroid, retired their all so famous Polaroid camera which quickly and easily printed pictures instantly after taking them.

In addition to printing the pictures, the camera also is a digital camera, allowing the images to be imported to the computer as well as printing the hard copy.

Check out Zamzar, works great for video file conversion (and other types of media conversion). Just used it for a YouTube video to be able to download it to my desktop and use in a presentation.

All you do is input the URL, and then about one minute later, a URL is sitting in your inbox to download in your preferred format!

Motorola Sparrow: This Device Could Change Retail

The Motorola Sparrow is the newest and coolest thing in retail store marketing. The Motorola Sparrow is a very small device with a display that excepts credit cards, detects RFID, is WiFi ready, is capable of storing data, pictures etc, and can't wait to be taken advantage of by retailers!

Who will be the first savvy retailer to put this device into action? Looks like a perfect device for Apple Stores if you ask me!

Social Media in Plain English

If you are like me, and have tried to explain the power of social media, you've failed on several occasions (and succeeded.)

Here is a video I recently came across which is created by a company called The Common Craft to help simplify the concept of what social media is.

What Companies Use Twitter?

Twitter is getting a LOT of buzz lately in the Social Media space. Regaurdless if the tool is effective or not, I have been looking into what large companies have use it for branding or business purposes and have had a hard time, so I decided to post a list for all to view:
