Google Phone Released into the wild

The Google Phone, or "G1" as it's being called was released today for T-Mobile.  It's looks may not be as sexy as the iPhone, but from videos I've seen it looks like a winner if your have everything set up with Google including your email, calendar, chatting, etc.  Many of the great features they have to offer seem to be dependent on an existing relationship you might already have with their online apps.

As rumored the phone has a flip out keyboard, as well as a full touch screen (and a good one from what the demos look like).

It's priced a bit high at $179 (just under the iPhone's price) but still not low enough to take away a large share of potential iPhone buyers.  The phone lacks a lot of things (including storage space) that the iPhone has, but surely a worthy competitor!

Great post...don't like the phone just yet. I think it'll be an adopter by the tech/geek community, but not mainstream.

They haven't done as great a job marketing the device as apple has and it looks very complicated.

One thing to check out, notice in the second picture the clocks are off? The time in the corner said 2:47, but the analog version shows like 9:10 or something...I take it that shouldn't be happening.
